Chief Executive Officer
Vincent Amelie joined the Seychelles Meteorological Service in August 1991 as a Meteorological Technician or Weather Observer before promoted to Meteorologist in 1999 and to Senior Meteorologist in 2007. Currently he is the Chief Meteorologist, a post he has occupied since 2009. His greatest achievements so far are the setting up of a Quality Management System (QMS) in the aviation meteorology (expected ISO certification by 2015) and being awarded funding to purchase 4 Automatic Weather Station (AWS) under a climate change adaptation project. The 4 AWSs are now up and running and improving the observation network in the Seychelles.
